Job Description:

JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Reports and works closely with the WLRN Executive Producer in the planning of a weekly 30-minute television show.
2.    Edits the weekly 30-minute television show, incorporating various stories, and ensuring all content meets broadcasting standards and FCC requirements, specifically regarding closed captioning.
3.    Coordinates with the Master Control Supervisor to ensure quality control of the weekly 30-minute television show prior to broadcast.
4.    Responsible for filming on location with the weekly host for the weekly 30-minute television show.
5.    Performs filming and editing of video messages for the Superintendent and elected School Board members.
6.    Handles the editing of special events for broadcasting (i.e., MLK Parade, Silver Knight Awards, etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a medium level work requiring the following physical activities: reaching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing acuity and visual acuity. Work is performed indoors and outdoors and worker is exposed to various hazards. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications or related field and five (5) years of job related experience; or seven (7) years of job related experience. 2. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.
